About us

Palazzo Mandrilli (Guerrina) is a historical mansion of XVII century located in Cassine, a small medieval Italian town. This building was abandoned since 1970th and was badly damaged. For about two years a company from Azerbaijan made a major restoration of the Palazzo, including its authentic roof and original frescos. Azerbaijan as truly multicultural country which respects culture and arts of other nations, could not stay indifferent when such a historical and beautiful building was about to collapse day by day.

Until 1970th General Aldo Mandrilli owned the Palazzo. The building has rare ceiling frescos by famous Italian painter Antonio Marchetti (Brescia, 1724–1791) most of which is well preserved in its original. The building also has antic floor mosaics, original doors and windows, and many accessories from the 17th-18th centuries that will make you feel in an atmosphere of medieval Italy!

In total there are 20 rooms in the property, big vinery in the basement and a beautiful internal courtyard with two antic water wells.

In May 2025 "SEN1SEN" ThinkTank opened an International Art Gallery in Palazzo’s main hall. The purpose of the Gallery is to assist in developing cultural values, promote talented people, unite cultures and people. At the same time, opening of this cultural center will serve to improve relations between Azerbaijan and Italy, and become a center for supporting artists around the world.
